We are sadden by the passing of Fred Feldman on January 25, 2024 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

Fred leaves behind his beloved wife Ellen, his loving children Robert and his wife Liz, Helene Zelinsky and her husband Jon, Gina Kollmer and her husband Stephen, his caring siblings Carl Feldman and Susan Spiegel and his adored grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Alyssa, Jessica, Jordan, Aurora and Eva.

Caren Susan Mandelbaum passed away on December 5th, 2023 in the loving arms of her husband of 48 years, Lenny. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a dedicated and masterful teacher. She is survived by her daughter Jessica (Michael) Gorman, Lauren (Avi) Pekurovsky, and sister Randy (Mitchell) Steinberg. Caren was a fun and adoring grandmother to her three grandchildren, Dylan, Hayley and Noah. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She will be welcomed by her mother and father, Dorothy and Clifford Klein, as well as her beloved dog, Princess. Caren’s energy and spirit will live on through her countless students and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Arleen Liggieri, 83, of Brick, NJ, passed away on January 10, 2022.

Born December 14, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, Arleen was the daughter of the late, Florence and Gus Wills. Arleen was raised in Brooklyn, but her life would take her to Pembroke Pines, Fl. and most recently Brick, NJ.

Arleen was a loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She gave love to all who knew her, and everyone that knew her loved her very much.

Arleen was predeceased by her husbands Joel Bock, and Paul Liggieri, by her parents Florence and Gus Wills, and by her brother Jon.

Arleen is survived by her children, Karen, Adam, Sal, Donna, Rosalie, and Ena, by her 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her soon to be 8th great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM on Friday January 14, 2022. Graveside service to immediately follow at Ocean View Cemetery on Staten Island, NY.

The family asks that donations in Arleen’s memory are made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A graveside service led by Rabbi Brooks Susman will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at Riverside Cemetery, located at 12 Market Street Saddle Brook, NJ 07663.

Joel Matusow, 76 of Jackson, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home.

Born Monday, October 28, 1946 in Philadelphia; Joel was the son of the late Benjamin and Yetta Matusow.

When Joel was 8 years old the family moved to Englishtown, NJ. After graduating from high school, Joel attended Monmouth University. He majored in Business Administration. Joel worked for the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as a Sr. Claims Examiner. He retired in 2011.

Joel was active in Thoroughbred Horse racing. He was a known journalist and handicapper who covered multiple horse tracks as an analyst. Himself owning two horses. Joel enjoyed bowling and was a member of two different leagues. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite teams the Phillies and Eagles. Joel enjoyed cruising and took many cruises with his parents, sister, and his wife Lynn. He enjoyed his time in coffee shops, and listening to classical music. Joel and Lynn were residents and active in the Four Seasons South Knolls community in Jackson, where they lived for the past 14 years.

A giving man who always though of others, Joel donated Platelets over 300 times to the Blood Center, and was recognized for this. He also was active with donating to Boystown and Disabled Veterans.

Joel was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Yetta and by his sister Rhonda.

Joel is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Lynn, and by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Mt. Sinai Cemetery located at 374 Hwy 79 Morganville, New Jersey 07751. Interment will be in Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Morganville, NJ. Masks are required to be worn while inside the chapel at the cemetery.
